Right At School: An Onsite Childcare Option
Before- and After-School Programming for NKCPS Students in Grades K-5
Beginning in the 2026-2027 school year, Right at School, a leading provider of high quality before- and after-school enrichment programs, will offer before- and after-school programming to NKCPS Kindergarten through fifth grade students beginning on the first day of school, August 24th, 2026.
Right at School will operate at all of our elementary schools:
For NKCPS families who wish to participate, these services will be available before school starting at 6:30 a.m. and after school until 6:00 p.m. every day that school is in session. Parents and guardians will be able to create flexible monthly schedules of between one and five days per week, and drop-in care is also an option.

Right At School will hire local, highly-qualified staff and deliver a comprehensive, play-based enrichment curriculum to keep students engaged and active. Students will have a snack, time to complete their homework, engage in dynamic fitness activities, and participate in hands-on STEM projects, team building, community service, and leadership development. The program also features a thematic curriculum aligned with our district’s standards for academics and student growth.
Childcare Assistance
Right at School is partnering with our local state agency to provide childcare assistance programs for eligible families. Right at School is currently undergoing the state licensing process for our facilities. Once this process is completed, you will receive more information about how to apply for subsidized childcare with this provider.
