If you're looking for a great place to learn and grow, then look no further. New Kent Elementary School has been serving the community for over 40 years. We are fully accredited and were designated a Distinguished Title I School in 2013—one of only 55 schools in the state. With the hard work of our dedicated teachers and students, our Spring 2015 SOL scores were significantly above the state average in reading and math. Way to go, River Otters!!!

Not only is NKES a great place to learn, it's also a wonderful place to build meaningful and lasting relationships. We genuinely care for students and strive to create a safe and comfortable learning environment. Our hope is that every student who enters our school leaves here knowing not only 'reading, 'riting, and 'rithmetic but also knowing how important he/she is to the world in which we live.
